God, You are all-mighty and all-knowing. You possess all authority, power, and dominion. You are unchallenged in Your rank, sovereignty, and supremacy. You spoke all things into existence, and will choose the moment when all things shall come to an end. Yet, we “humanize” You when we’ve reached the end of our own strength… when fears begin to control us, and we lose sight of the fact that You’ve raised the dead to life and performed countless miracles.

Waiting is one of the most difficult struggles for us. But as we wait for Your sovereign power to diffuse the current crisis, we will sharpen our focus on You, just as the Psalmist wrote, “Let the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere Him. For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it stood firm… We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield. In Him, our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You.” (Ps.33:8-9, 20-22).

Please forgive our doubts, dear Lord. Respond to our prayers and renew our hearts to stay focused on You. Remind us to trust You and rest in that peacefulness that You have everything under control. We humbly ask all of this in Your Son’s precious Name, Amen.
